Tree House



One of my coworkers has a house in the mountains of NC, outside Brevard, which she affectionately refers to as the "tree house". Our work staff was invited to the tree house this weekend past for some R&R - and boy was it ever! Though there ended up being only four of us - it was awesome. Relaxation and retreat with a view in a house that was two parts modern luxury and one part cabin in the woods - all slate and chrome and soapstone with lots of local wood combined with amazing craftsmanship. A hike to Bridal Veil Falls, a rural farm setting, a church set into the side of the mountain all speak of what I saw through the eye of my camera. And a peaceful frame of mind was the result of this totally chill weekend with coworkers who are also friends.
