Amy: Real Women

Check the portrait blog for my latest real women session with Amy!

Also, just wanted to give a huge thank you to my little brother James who helped me redesign the Real Women portion of my website - in under a week. He rocks...and so do his graphic / web design skills. Be sure to be patient - the site takes a bit longer than normal to load (we're working on this).

The Real Women Workshops

What is the "Real Women" Photography Collage Workshop?

This is a simple, customizable workshop that can be presented in any organization or conference that involves women or young girls.

It includes me, the photographer, coming on site with portable studio equipment and taking photos of each woman / girl involved in the program. The photos are printed immediately and each participant is then given the tools and supplies to create a collage of empowering

words around their photograph. Words are cut out ahead of time but magazines and scissors are also available for more personalized collaging as well as stamps, markers, glue, tape, etc. An optional brief round table discussion about self esteem can also be scheduled. Examples of the collages from previous workshops appear below.

What sorts of organizations can take advantage of this workshop?

Any group of women or girls will benefit from the workshop - it could be your book club, your local knitting group, a group of artists, girlscouts, high school teens, mothers and daughters, birthday parties, girl parties...the point is to have fun & build self esteem in small or

large group settings with women!

What training do you have in doing these sorts of workshops?

I have a MPH - or Master's Degree in Public Health - with a concentration in health promotion, education and behavior. I am fully trained and educated to do health related presentations in front of community audiences or small groups. I have been a photographer for six years and have experience working with women and the flexibility to work in any setting to create special photographs!

How much does the workshop cost?

The cost depends on the number of participants. All materials are provided and typically the cost is about $6 per person plus a small $25 stipend for travel. I am willing to work with non profit agencies and community based organizations to customize a program and cost that fits your needs.

How do I find out more?

Please contact me for more information!

Morning with Meadow

A very cute 2-year old session...the lollipop ones were some of my favorites. And thankfully the weather was nice enough to spend a little time chasing her outdoors - fun candids! Check my favorites out on the portrait blog www.jacquelynnbuckportraits.blogspot.com
