Lazy DC Days

Playing tourist at the National Gallery was probably one of the most interesting things I'd done in a long time. Living in Dayton has given me a new perspective on fine art and seeing the master's work in living color - Monet, Van Gogh, Renoir, Vermeer - was a real eye opening experience. And of course no visit is complete without an early morning walk to the Lincoln memorial and back (six miles round trip in the 70 degree sunshine) and a stop over at the various war memorials, reminding me of those who served and did not come home, just in time for Veterans Day.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing DC through my eyes. It was a short trip but well worth it - to see Leah, her cat Bosco, to eat at some of the top rated restaurants and of course play tourist for a few days.

Jackie, those are stunning! You really captured the beauty of DC in your own fantastic style, I was truly awed by many of them.
